Why The 10 Below?

The Ten Below is a passion project that I started working on in 2014. Why did it take until 2022 to finally launch it?  Life. Kids. Supply Chain Issues. But living in South Florida was the impetus. Every time you take something out of the fridge, it warms up in minutes. I guess, it would have to be a passion project to stick with it over 7 years! (That and the fact that I hate warm drinks!)

After trying pretty much everything else on market in an attempt to keep my drinks cold long enough to enjoy them, I decided to put my engineering degree to good use.  After years of research and development – and years of testing, the result is the 10 Below. I guarantee it will cool your drinks and keep them deliciously frosty better than anything else on the market.

Who We Are

We – is really just me and my muses (my wife, kids and our dog Sandy). I’m a one person small business with aspirations of making the world a better place, one invention at a time. I have lots of ideas to add to and improve the 10 Below. Please give it a try and let me know if it works for you.

Who is Skadi?

Given how cold the 10 Below makes your drinks, I wanted a company name that evoked cold, frost and winter. Plus, it’s always good to have the Gods on your side!

Skadi is the Viking goddess of winter, skiing, mountains and bow hunting. Her father is Thjazi and her husband is the god Njörd. Her name is said to be the origin for the word Scandinavia.
